We place emphasis on choices that have the highest priority in the sustainability pyramid. Recycling old gadgets is good, but never having to throw them out is even better. Even though designing products with planned obsolescence is good for recurring revenue, we believe that reducing the need for frequent replacements is a more honest approach. 

One of the benefits of making an ultra-light and compact product like the Pocket Tripod® is that it requires very little material to produce. Furthermore, we’re always optimizing our production to reduce waste and rely more on renewable sources of power.

Pocket Tripod® has been designed to remain useful throughout multiple iPhone upgrades. (As opposed to needing a new one each year).We are against planned obsolescence, and we strive to make products that are durable and reusable. We prioritize reducing and reusing instead of adding to landfills and recycling plants.

Keeping with our design philosophy of reusability, we’ve designed our packaging to function as an organizing case for the included components of the Pocket Tripod®, instead of making a one-time-use box that may or may not get recycled. Users are encouraged to keep the box for storing the included parts.

For add-ons or replacement parts which require one-time-use packaging, we use biodegradable pulp materials so to have the smallest impact on the environment.In fact, it’s made of the same material as food-grade takeaway boxes which can be recovered through composting, even if doesn’t get recycled.
